ABOUT ALWAYS BE COMEDY
Always Be Comedy has been a vibrant part of the London comedy scene since 2011, built on a simple promise: to deliver top-tier comedy in a fun, intimate setting (and, let's be honest, James's mate Anna used to work at The Tommyfield and found out that the room was available).
Hosted by our founder and resident MC James Gill - with people's prince Tim Lewis on hand as resident tech and emotional support - we've grown from a single night to a powerhouse operation, now running five (and often six) nights a week. Our hard work has paid off, with the club now holding two Chortle Awards, cementing our reputation as one of the best comedy nights in the country. Our stage has become a go-to for comedy royalty, with the likes of Michael McIntyre, Mickey Flanagan, Sara Pascoe, Kevin Bridges, Dara Ó Briain, Katherine Ryan, Romesh Ranganathan, Aisling Bea, Brett Goldstein, Joe Lycett and many more gracing the hallowed Tommyfield stage.
Now with a new venue launching in Chelsea, our commitment to bringing you the best stand-up is stronger than ever. Always Be Comedy has also been featured by major media outlets including the BBC, Guardian, Sunday Brunch, and Lorraine. Heck, we've even been featured on The Graham Norton Show (yes, really).
We're proud to showcase a hand-selected cavalcade of the best up-and-coming talent, alongside established legends and mystery guests.
And strap in - you never know when you might get a "Kennington exclusive" (one for the regulars, there).
